1 Minute Doc
What was spoken is contextualised in the footage
Poor Camera positioning and subject positioning looking too far away.
Documentary Pitch
This is a participatory documentary as we are exploring solely the emotions and feelings of our participant and their stories will dictate the direction we take the documentary.
The themes here will help us construct the documentary in a way that will stick to the narrative form we wish to pursue.
We are beginning with shots of the fans walking into the stadium with a voiceover from our interviewee, therefore we are leaving something tot he imagination and the audience will continue to watch it to find out.
The story arc allows for development across the whole of the documentary making it more interesting with twists and turns.
As it is a performance doc it is necessary for what we hear and see to be from the interviewee's perspective.
Will be necessary for the arc to work, bad in the past good in the future.

Rabiger, M. (2004) Directing the Documentary, London: Focal Press. Ch.11:Developing Your Story Ideas
Artistic Identity:
'Artistic identity is the source of creativity that you carry within. Shaped by temperament and biographical circumstances, it is the inner force powering your search for answers to the "unfinished business" in your life.'
It is important for us, especially at the earlier stages to come up with what our artistic identity is and will be. From this reading I have learnt it is best to relate to yourself within the film you produce so it is specific to yourself. This is doable for myself as the concept is about a football fan, something I can relate to, but the other members of the group cannot. Therefore, the discussion we have with our participant has to be both for those that are fans but also those that are not. Therefore making it an enjoyable viewing experience for all involved. This is achieved by us not only asking questions about specific games he has been too etc etc, but also how this support has affected himself and his family etc.
Rabiger speaks of the importance of speaking from your experiences and you will find bad memories can create good artistic identity, bad friends can help and so on. Everything in your life that has made you who you are today can be useful tools to help build your own artistic identity.
